Rachael Estes, M.Ed., LPC, NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Specialty Areas: Anxiety, Trauma, Life Transitions
Hi! I’m Rachael,
I’m a Board-Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am also pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Auburn University.
Life can be hard, and it is easy to get stuck in the chaos. As a counselor, I want to create an authentic, collaborative relationship driven by genuine connections and empathy. I am passionate about empowering others to face life’s challenges and embark on a journey of growth and healing. Together we will explore your values, goals, and aspirations, ensuring our counseling journey aligns with your individual needs and desires.
My counseling approach is holistic and integrated, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Counseling, and Person-Centered Techniques. The dynamic relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors underscores the complexity of our experiences. I am dedicated to the process of unraveling maladaptive patterns and core beliefs, recognizing that modifying automatic negative patterns plays a crucial role in promoting personal growth and guiding individuals on their path toward healing. I am currently undergoing training in EMDR, a well-researched and highly effective therapeutic approach for addressing trauma and managing stressful life experiences. I am enthusiastic about integrating this valuable technique into my practice, providing clients with an additional and impactful therapy option to enhance their healing journey.
I love to infuse humor and lightness into my work as a counselor because it helps create a comfortable and open atmosphere for my clients. Laughter has a magical way of breaking down barriers and fostering a sense of connection. I believe you are the expert of your own life, possessing unique qualities and capabilities that can be utilized to foster personal growth and positive change. My role as a counselor is to collaborate with you, providing support, guidance, and a safe space for exploration. Together, we will navigate the intricacies of your experiences, building on your strengths and utilizing evidence-based techniques to help you overcome challenges.
