Taylor Grace Joyner

Hi! I’m Taylor Grace.
Areas of Clinical Interest:
Anxiety, Self-Worth, and Trauma
I’m a Clinical Counseling Intern currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Auburn University. War Eagle! I’ve always known that I wanted to spend my life helping people, but over time I realized that what drew me into counseling the most was its relational nature. Counseling allows me to connect with others in a genuine way and walk alongside them through some of life’s most difficult and meaningful moments.
I believe there is something incredibly sacred about being trusted with another person’s story. The thoughts, emotions, experiences, and struggles we carry are often hidden beneath the surface, unseen by the people around us. When someone chooses to share those parts of themselves, I view that trust as a true privilege. No matter what brings you into counseling, my hope is that you will find a safe space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
My approach to counseling is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and connection. I see counseling as a collaborative process where we work together to better understand your experiences, navigate challenges, and uncover the strengths that already exist within you. I strive to be genuine in the counseling room because I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest and known.
One of the things I’m most passionate about is helping people recognize their worth and value. It can be easy to lose sight of who we are when we are overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by difficult experiences, or walking through seasons of uncertainty. I love helping people rediscover their strengths, develop greater self-compassion and grace for themselves, and move toward a life that feels more fulfilling.
I have a special place in my heart for working with children and adolescents. I love getting to experience the world through their eyes, whether that means playing games, getting creative, celebrating the little victories, or helping them put words to big emotions. I hope to create a space where they feel safe to be themselves, build confidence, and know they always have someone in their corner.
As I continue my education and clinical training, I am excited to learn from and support a wide variety of individuals and experiences. Every person has a unique story, and I consider it an honor to be invited into that journey.
For clients interested in faith-based counseling, I’m happy to incorporate faith into the counseling process and provide support from a Biblical perspective.
Fun Facts:
I’m originally from Florida and now call Auburn home! I have a sweet English Cocker Spaniel named Lexi, and I was a competitive dancer for 15 years and still love all things dance. You’ll also rarely find me turning down a trip to the beach.
