Hi, I’m Jess!

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Alabama. Over the years, I’ve built experience with a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including motivational interviewing, mindfulness, art/play therapy, and trauma-informed care. I truly love learning and bringing fresh skills and insights back into the therapy room.

I’ve spent 14 years in social work, serving diverse populations across many settings, including child welfare, mental health, and healthcare. These experiences have shaped my practice and deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, effective care. Healing from tough experiences isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey, which is why I am committed to bringing the most effective, supportive tools into my practice. Currently, I am training to become certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). This specialized, evidence-based approach is designed to help children, teenagers, and families navigate the complex aftermath of trauma, manage overwhelming emotions, and build lasting resilience. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where we can process these challenges together, helping you or your child regain a sense of safety, strength, and hope for the future.

I’ve worked with clients across the lifespan. I support clients at almost every stage of life, from children as young as six all the way through adulthood. My passion lies in helping families thrive. I believe healthy families nurture strong children-and strong children grow into the foundation of a thriving community. Childhood and adolescence are times of rapid change, so I focus on building solid coping skills, stress management, and trauma‑informed care to support kids now and help them become resilient, thriving adults.

Fun Facts:

I’m a mom of 5 in a blended family, to include one child with complex needs and multiple with neurodivergence. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, dressing my porch goose, collecting earrings, and playing coffee shop on my home espresso machine.
