Hi! I’m Caroline.

I’m a Clinical Counseling Intern currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Auburn University. It is a great privilege to be entrusted with the most vulnerable areas of a client’s life, and as a counselor in training, my hope is to provide a safe and approachable space for emotional processing and pursuing lasting change.

Seeking counseling takes a lot of courage in the midst of suffering and uncertainty. As someone who has reaped the benefits of counseling in my own life, my goal is to provide an empathic understanding while honoring the strength it takes to ask for help and seek support. I believe that counseling is a collaborative relationship that leaves you with a toolbox of skills to lighten the load of life’s circumstances.

My counseling approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral and attachment lenses, while believing that the therapeutic relationship is foundational to healing. Furthermore, I am passionate about working through grief and the complexities that come with loss and its many forms. As we navigate your story, we can identify and reframe core beliefs to ultimately offer hope and help you discover the value you already hold. My role is to act as an instrument to this change and help you put language to your complex and unique experiences. I am confident that we’re not meant to walk through this life alone, and I believe that true healing is done through human connection and vulnerability. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in your pursuit of healing and growth.

For clients seeking faith-based counseling, I love to incorporate faith into the counseling process. If this is what you’re looking for, I would be delighted to come alongside you and provide support from a Biblical lens.

Fun Facts:

I’m originally from Dallas, Texas, and have always loved to travel and explore new places. I’ve lived in Auburn for the past five years and have absolutely loved it, but would consider myself a city girl at heart. In my free time, I enjoy reading fiction, listening to podcasts on a walk, and scrolling through Pinterest. My cup feels the most full when I’m spending time with a close friend over a good meal!
