MEd, ALC, NCC
Hi! I'm Marina,
And I’m a mental health counselor and the owner of A Quiet Place Counseling, LLC. Counseling is my passion, and I consider myself very blessed to be a part of such a meaningful, rewarding profession. Having an innate interest in the human mind, I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia, and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University. After gaining valuable counseling experience at East Alabama Mental Health Center, I decided it was time to pursue my dream of opening a private practice. I am passionate about counseling because it provides me with the platform to love and empower others, as I feel led to do.
I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) under the supervision of Margaret A. Taylor (ABEC Supervising Counselor: 0769; LPC: 2769). I am an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Alabama Counseling Association (ALCA), and I regularly attend conferences to remain informed of best practices to better serve my clients. Lastly, I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Auburn University.
I am married to a wonderful man who provides me with endless support. I enjoy traveling, reading, exercising, coffee shops, and spending quality time with my family, friends, and pets.
